Pro tip: Load at least $20 before your first match day and turn on Auto-Reload in the app. Transit volume during FIFA will be extreme — the last thing you want is to dig for cash or reload at a busy machine.

Ride & Transfer
On TTC — free transfers within 2 hours. Hop between subway, streetcar and bus without tapping again. Your first tap starts the clock.
Tap Off (GO & UP only)
GO Transit and UP Express are distance-based — always tap off when you exit to be charged the correct fare.
Check Balance
Open the Presto app anytime to see your balance, trip history, and load more funds. Readers also display your balance after tapping.

Plan for extra time. Arrive at the stadium 2–3 hours before kickoff for security and crowd volume. Allow 60–90 min post-match to exit the area — GO and streetcars run continuously but platforms fill fast. Have your Presto topped up before you arrive.

Charge Your Phone

No Parking
There is no public parking at BMO Field during FIFA matches. Road closures around Exhibition Place are expected. Transit is the only reliable option.

Troubleshooting
Q: Card not reading?
Clean the card, ensure your balance is above the minimum fare, and try a different reader. Physical obstructions in your wallet (multiple cards) can also cause issues.
Q: Balance not showing after loading?
Digital loads are near-instant in the app. Physical card loads at a machine can take a few seconds — wait for the confirmation screen.
Q: Charged wrong fare?
Contact Presto via the app's help section or call 1-877-378-6123. Keep your trip history as evidence.
Q: Lost or stolen card?
Report immediately in the app or by phone. Registered cards have their balance protected and transferred to a new card.
Q: No Presto reader on the vehicle?
Some older TTC vehicles may use a different payment method — follow driver instructions. All new vehicles have Presto readers.
